RANS Modeling of Turbulent Flow and Heat Transfer in a Droplet-Laden Mist Flow through a Ribbed Duct

The local structure, turbulence, and heat transfer in a flat ribbed duct during the evaporation of water droplets gas flow were studied numerically using Eulerian approach. structure turbulent two-phase underwent significant changes comparison with without ribs. maximum value gas-phase turbulence was obtained region downstream rib, it almost twice as high kinetic energy between Finely dispersed small Stokes numbers penetrated well into separation observed over cross section; they could leave ribs due to their low inertia. Large inertial large present only mixing layer core, accumulated close wall towards rib. An addition evaporating caused enhancement (up 2.5 times) single-phase channel.
